Progress Update – January 2018

To the Fire Survivors of Coffey Park:

Here is the latest on our progress in rebuilding homes and lives in Coffey Park. All of the nine original plans in units 1-5 have been brought up to current codes. Each plan type has been designed as a master plan and has three elevations and reverses to choose from. Additionally we are offering two siding types, both lap and board batten, can be selected. The plans are out to bid, and pricing is still set to be released the last week of January.

Our Fire Survivors Rebuilding and Recovery Center will be located at 1519 Amanda Place. We anticipate opening the first week of February. The center will be open to all residents of Coffey Park to view plan types and specifications. We will have an array of flooring, countertops, cabinets, tiles, and paints for you to touch and feel prior to making selections.

With our masterplans complete, our design team is now working to create one alternate floorplan per plan type. The most common request we have received is for an open concept in the kitchen, dining, and family area. The open concept will be available for all plan types and will match the footprint of the original home. We are still fielding input on these designs. If you have a change that you believe to be a common request amongst your neighbors, please bring it to our attention for consideration.

We have purchased and are in the process of purchasing several lots in Coffey Park. The lots will be built at the end of our rebuild efforts and made available for sale with a priority to those displaced by the fire. As our focus at this point is to those who will be contracting with us to rebuild, the construction of our for sale homes is still a ways off. If you know someone who may be interested in purchasing one of these homes please contact us to get on our interest list.

As we come closer to releasing pricing we encourage all of you to reach out to your neighbors and discuss all of your options when choosing a builder. I am committed to the rebuilding of this community on a large scale and making it affordable to as many survivors as possible.

Sincerely,
Aaron Matz
President
